Dr Amy Wang – MD, BBiomed, CWH
Dr Amy Wang graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2017. She worked in a variety of roles at St Vincent’s Hospital, Melbourne, and Monash Health prior to starting general practice training. Dr Amy is completing her final stage of specialist general practice training in the first half of 2022, having passed her fellowship examinations in 2021.
Dr Wang is passionate about providing high quality person-centered care with a focus on preventive health and wellbeing. She believes in the importance of building strong, lasting relationships with her patients and their families and empowers them to achieve their best physical and mental health.
Dr Amy enjoys all aspects of general practice with interests in women’s health and child and adolescent health. She has undertaken further training in these areas of interest, obtaining the Sydney Child Health Program (formerly Diploma of Child Health) and Certificate of Women’s Health in 2021. She is skilled in Implanon insertion and removal.
Dr Wang will be extending her skills in mental health with focused psychological strategies skills training in early 2022 whilst working with Headspace.
Outside of work, Dr Wang enjoys yoga and pilates, tending to her collection of indoor plants and is a budding gardener. She can speak Mandarin and conversational Taiwanese.
