Dr Peter Sanad is a specialist general practitioner and fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. In a medical world of increasing sub-specialisation, Peter is a true generalist, experienced in all aspects of medicine, and enjoys looking after the care of the whole family, including children.

Peter works co-operatively along with his patients on preventive health, manages chronic health conditions, performs skin checks and skin excisions, performs surgery for removal of cysts and tumours, and performs iron infusions for treatment of iron deficiency. He is also experienced in travel medicine,  undertakes travel consultations, and is a registered provider of the Yellow Fever immunisation.

Peter is an accredited supervisor for medical students through Melbourne University,  and is actively involved in training the next generation of doctors. He completed his own medical training through Monash University in Melbourne, and spent many years practicing internal medicine, emergency medicine and surgery in various Victorian hospitals prior to undertaking general practice training.

Peter and his wife live locally in Mitcham with their four young children, and are often seen around the local cafes or yelling from the sidelines at their daughter’s netball games. They are committed Christians, and spend much of their time with their church group and the associated young people’s group. They are frequent travelers both within Australia and abroad.
